Videos from HomeschoolFreebieOfTheDay
November 3rd, 2008Today, we have a way cool batch of videos to throw your way… so gather the kids together, click away, and enjoy!
HOMESCHOOL HALLOWEEN?
Well… actually this little video isn’t really about Halloween. It’s really just a fun slice of life video by a homeschool family who are able to poke a little fun at themselves and some homeschoolish quirks. (Yes, it mentions Halloween, and yes, the kids dress up in costumes, so if that’s not for you, don’t watch.) Everyone else, Enjoy!
THE CHEMISTRY OF CANDLES
Did you realize that modern candle wicks are a marvel of engineering? The Chemistry of Candles is explained in this fascinating video from the Periodic Table of Videos. Gotta love the hair!
DRAWING WITH WATER
Hey… You need to try this!
Plus here are a few classics from our Great Homeschool Videos site that haven’t been seen for a while:
SNOWBALL, THE DANCING COCKATOO
This is a video of a medium sulphur crested Eleanora cockatoo named Snowball living at the Bird Lovers Only Rescue in Schererville, Indiana. She loves music, and taught herself to dance to the song “Everybody”. You’ve got your groove, Snowball! Show us how it’s done!
BIZARRE VEGGIES
Kids: See if you can identify all of the veggies used in these delightful pics. But remember… “don’t play with your food!”
HUGE GIANT SPIDER CHASES TEEN
…or is it? lol
CRAZY STREET MARKET-O -A-RAILROAD-TRACK
This is just a minute long, but be sure to watch it through to the end… it’s a video of a “pop-up” street market located DIRECTLY ON a train track in Thailand. Watch how quickly it gets back to “business as usual”. This would be the absolute scariest, last place I would imagine a market to be located. I sure wouldn’t shop there. Amazing.
ROTTING PUMPKINS!
Here is a neat time lapse clip of pumpkins rotting over 3 weeks time. Goodbye, Jack! See you again next year!
